About Collin

Collin, is an 18 year old, senior at Carver Academy for the Arts. He has been playing the violin for about 9 years and has had various playing experiences. Collin has taken private lessons for 8 years and had four different teachers during that time, earning something new with each one. His most recent teacher was Lily Burton, who is member of the Portland Columbia Symphony.
Collin played in the Metropolitan Youth Symphony for four years playing in multiple orchestra levels. And while he still loves to play violin, he discovered that theater is his greater passion. He loves it when he can to both things he enjoys by playing violin for a few of Christian Youth Theater's productions, he played in The Fiddler in Fiddler on the Roof, and in the pit for The Music Man and Scrooge.
